Expoáguilas is committed to sustainability with the investment in self-consumption photovoltaic panels.
The Expoáguilas cooperative has always stood out for being a pioneer in terms of sustainable measures from the very beginning. Farmers are committed to the application of environmentally friendly measures and the cooperative, for its part, helps them to continue innovating and improving their processes.
The last of the measures adopted in this sense has been the implementation of photovoltaic panels. The company currently has 96 KW for self-consumption. This represents an annual energy saving of 12,432 toe/year. The energy production capacity thus amounts to 144,553.92 kWh/year. This results in an annual GHG emission saving of 50,348 tonnes of CO2/year.
A total investment of € 93,875.00 was necessary. This would not have been possible without the help of the European Union, from whom a financial support of 41,793.75 € has been received. The European Regional Development Fund has also played an essential role, providing €33,435.00. All the members of the cooperative are grateful for the aid received without which it would not have been possible to achieve this great advance in sustainability and care for the environment.
